My experience with this company was horrible. Nothing that was told to me when I spoke to the sales rep turned out to be accurate. I was given a quote of $1,200. The move cost about $1,000 more than that. The movers essentially showed up when they felt like it, and I could get no assurance of the delivery, which was the most important part, b/c I had to reserve an elevator, take off of work, and pay a move in fee. When the movers showed up, they gave me a huge confusing run around about why everything cost what it did and put on this whole show about what a great deal they were giving me. No one took accountability - the sales person deferred to the dispatcher, the dispatcher deferred to the movers, the movers deferred to the delivery movers (2 sets of movers of course). They broke a piece of my furniture and then immediately claimed it to not be their fault and said it was something that I could easily fix on my own. The whole experience was disgusting. I felt totally lied to and schemed and I wanted nothing more than to get the slimy movers out of my house. Unfortunately, these people have you by the balls - they've got your stuff, you need it delivered, so you are kind of at their mercy, and legally they've got a week to get it to you. In my opinion, good business means you don't lie to get the sale and leave the customer hanging. I would like to trust the people that I am doing business with, and this company is anything but trustworthy or reliable. The more people I've spoken to, the more it seems that this is the norm in moving. My advice? Rent a U-Haul and hire someone to do the loading and unloading.
