Dear Darryl -
You can credit my first payment to you of $533.95 back to my credit card. I will not be paying for you to drop me and my lifetime of possessions into the hands of the questionable characters you left in charge of my move.
Sal held my items hostage for 13 days while he constantly called wanting more money. My agreement with 'Charles' was that the truck would be weighed before and after my items were loaded and an appropriate cost would be agreed upon at that time. The moment my things were loaded onto the rental truck, the movers insisted that my move would not be based on weight, but square footage. It just got worse from there. We agreed on a price with Sal that day, but the following days he called insisting that he was not making enough money now that the other party had backed out of their move to Florida. On Saturday, June 9th Sal called to say that he needed an additional $500 from me. I told him that was not the agreed upon price and he quietly said 'Ok, don't worry, I can get it from the boxes". I was flabbergasted and did not respond...So he said it again, and then handed the phone back to the dispatcher.
The movers arrived yesterday and did an excellent job of unloading my items. As promised though, seven boxes are missing. Additionally my file cabinet is missing which I assume will be a lifetime of 'identify theft' concerns for me.
I have contacted the proper authorities and will be going after Sal's insurance as soon as I get a better handle on everything that is missing. In the meantime, credit my account and notify me when it is completed today. I am not certain what your relationship to Sal is, but he had better not ever contact me again!
