Where do I begin? Quote of $3200 became $8200 (managed to get this down to $7000). We were treated like dirt, yelled at, even hung up on at one time. We would be promised something over the phone, yet never delivered. Asked for a second weighing, yet Vega did not do this. Said our belongings (about a 3 bedroom house, enough to fill a 26' UHaul but nothing more) was 11,250lbs (I will be getting this re-weighed to expose these false weights). Say "certified scales" which mean nothing but a scale on their yard. Scale tickets are nothing but a Word document with no reference to our contract or items. Our truck had someone else's belongings on it, but there was no mention of this during the weighing.
And, to make matters worse, our furniture is heavily damaged. Boxes have been tossed, thrown and completely mangled. Legs ripped off our desk (how does that even happen?). The lid of our chrome garbage can is shattered and in pieces. And there are MICE... Mice have ruined our bedding, pillows, shoes, and more. Mice droppings everywhere.
These movers should be out of business. Do NOT use them, even if someone else is paying for your move!
