I chose this company because their salesman initially quoted me one of the best prices I had received from the many other companies with which I had spoken AND because he assured me my small load would arrive in about 7 days from pick up. I had a very small load and it was not going to a large city, but neither of the 2 salespeople I spoke with warned me that my route was not well traveled, potentially causing a delay in the delivery. Both specifically stated that unless the truck broke down or had a flat tire, it was very likely the delivery would be in about 7 days. We planned our trip to be on the receiving end to be available for the delivery since our son could not be available during the day. The second salesperson (Jessica) with whom I confirm our order corrected the price (an additional $90 should have been initially quoted but the first salesperson left off some sort of surcharge) but also assured me that 7 days for delivery was correct. It was only after we arrived at the destination (and made several phone calls to Moving On Up) were we finally told that our furniture was on hold in south FL waiting for a larger delivery headed towards Texas. I was yelled at by one supervisor and hung up on. Return phone calls promised were never returned. When it was clear I could not get any satisfaction with an earlier delivery, I was promised a 72 hour advance notice so we could work out the logistics on the delivery but was given only 12 hours. I was also told by the "boss" Haim that he would contact me again after talking with his boss to try to work out a lesser price at delivery, but he never called back and was not in the office when I tried to recontact him. Then the truck had a flat tire (unavoidable) 20 miles from its destination on the night of delivery and my son waited 5 hours to hear that they couldn't deliver until the next morning (when he could not be at home to receive it). AFter much logistical work finding someone to handle the cash payment for our son and arranging for someone to wait all morning for the truck, our furniture was delivered. I could have prepared with less angst if we had been told upfront the correct price and logical timeframe, as I understand we had a small load and our route was a bit remote. OR I could have certainly used another company. Oversold upfront and NO customer service - not any follow up from anyone I talked with at the company and extreme rudeness. I want to say that their drivers were helpful at pick up and on the phone during delivery, but they were not in control of the timeframes. Those who were do not deserve anyone's business.
