I hired this company to move my belongings from Las Vegas to Chicago. My original quote was $1400. when all was said and done it cost me $2270.
The cost isn't the real issue I'm posting this. I HAD a cedar chest that had been in my family for nearly 100 years, inside there were items precious only to me, of my sons baby clothes, pictures, etc. On the day of the move, the foreman Alex told me I should take this in my car; not a possiblity because my car is very small. I told him it needed to shipped. He was very interested in my cedar chest. On the daty of delivery the only thing that did not arrive was ..... you guessed it....my cedar chest. For several weeks I was given the run around by this company. They first told me it was still on the truck and would be delivered the following Wednesday ..... this never happened. Then they couldn't get ahold of the driver. I finally got the driver's name and phone number. The driver knew nothing about the situation and even took me to the warehouse in Chicago to see if my cedar chest was there....it wasn't. The driver and warehouse man, told me they had never seen this cedar chest and believed it never left Las Vegas. The people in Las Vegas would not even look for it....saying they would pay me 60 cents per pound! Looking for missing items is not part of their job. The one and only item I had of any value, mainly sentimental, is gone forever. This company is horrible, never put your move in their hands.
