Recently, we hired xpress movers to move to our new house which is about 15mins drive from our 2-bd apartment. Before, we used another moving company for much longer distance moving. That company was very good, but unfortunately, we lost the contact info. So we chose xpress mover which is local to us. I told Annie we would pack things ourselves and did not need packing materials from them. We asked for 3 movers to speed the move. But turned out, only two unprofessional young guys were doing the moving. They speak some English. The guy also the truck driver barely moved but just wrapped our furniture which is totally unnecessary. We told them we did not want covering and just loading our stuff to the truck. But the driver (looks like the boss) talked to one of the young guys in their own language (Bulgarian or Russian) to cover our mattress using some plastic shrink wrap. Days before, we boxed and sealed everything ourselves and moved lots of fragile stuff on our own. Just wanted to make things easier. No appliance no large furniture. Just boxes, suitcases and disassembled simple IKEA furniture and 15min drive. But still, they tried to charge me 4 hour for the whole move!!! And even with the wrapper protection, they broke apart our small desk. Dented our dinning table. Missed the top glass piece of the coffee table in their truck and returned it back 4 hours later. And they would charge 10% more if I pay credit card. Annie said they will send out the claim form for the broken and damage that day. But on the following day, she called back and said the driver made miscalculation and we had to pay another 43 bucks on the mattress protection cover-the plastic wrap!! If we won’t pay, she can not send the claim for to us. That is a really bad experience to us. BE CAUSIONS. DO NOT USE Xpress Movers!!
