WWVL is not a moving company but a broker who subcontracts to unrealiable unprofessional movers. The contract I signed with them two months ago writes that the customer will not pay more than 110% of the non-binding estimate at the time of delivery. The contract says they would charges 25% deposit and the balance is due upon delivery. This is a lie.
When the driver arrived, he said the contract means nothing - the contract says blankets and padding materials included - but for them to wrap up my larger furniture costs 1000$ extra. The driver was rude and drove away his truck while I tried to contact Steve the saleperson at WWVL and insisted on sticking to the term in the contract. He finally returned after his supervisor talked to him. Then he presented a package of paperwork which says that I pay him 75% in cash at pick up and another 25% in cash at delivery. At this point, I decided to cancel the move.
I can not trust the driver for his attitude and the demand for cash at pickup which is a violation of the contract. And who know what other extra cost he would come up with when he has the control of my stuff? During and after the incident, i tried to call Steve, the salesperson. He either not picked my phone or was very brief with me if he picked it up. He didn't give me any explanation except telling me that he would talk to his manager. And I didn't heard back from him any more.
Unfortunaely my experience became a typical example of moving scam. I want to tell you my experience so that you won't make the same mistake.
