Cross country move from California to Ohio that I thought was well planned out months ahead of time. My situation is like many others who REGRET ever working with White Glove Moving. HORRIFIC company that is unreliable, and their operation is a MOVING SCAM. Their tactics are unethical and unscrupulous.
This company RAISES PRICES of the move after failing to pick up or deliver items on time. They hold your personal items HOSTAGE until they receive payment for a price that was NOT agreed upon.
Expect DELAY OF SERVICE for their delivery was much later than the agreed date, which was a costly inconvenience. Expect DAMAGED GOODS. I paid for the Platinum Package and boxes showed up with items hanging out, clothes were not hung in wardrobe boxes as promised (see photos on Yelp), Antiques were damaged and items were stolen, etc. No itemized inventory list or box count ever received which was a part of the agreement made prior to pick up.
IMPORTANT I was NEVER NOTIFIED that White Glove contracts with a different carrier to move household goods. My items were put on a truck in California and were to be en route to Ohio. Instead White Glove instructed the carrier to put my items in a storage unit without notifying me. Several phone calls were made with little response. White Glove held my items in an undisclosed location for several weeks and purposely avoided communication with me.
Both Representatives, Frank Mayo and Will Rivera, are far from professional and conduct business with negligence.
While the company may claim they have a clean record, SEVERAL COMPLAINTS have been filed with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA- contact # 1-888-368-7238). Find out more by contacting FMCSA. Do your due diligence.
