So the movers called me to tell me that they would be out at 530 on Saturday- around 430 I was called an informed that the movers were in an "accident" and would not be able to make it, but would like the opportunity to come out on Sunday. I said that would be fine as we didnt have to turn the truck in until Monday. I was then called at 530 and was informed they could be there by 930 that night or Sunday night at 530. Being realistic, I said Sunday night at 530 was fine and we would see them then. On Sunday at 2 , I hadn't heard from them, so I sent a message asking if they were still coming? At 525 pm I get a call and was immediately disconnected 5 min later after several attempts I was able to reach the company's owner. He apologized that he was not able to come and would not be able to fulfill his commitment. Extremely frustrated with the situation he explained that he had to fire those movers and was sorry. After telling him that was unacceptable, and his timing was very poor with his communication, he said he "tried to call me". This is true- he did call me 5 min ago, not only did he try to turn the situation around on me, but he threw salt in the wounds by attempting to make it my fault by delaying the move to Sunday. Wow, I guess I could have been disappointed earlier by arranging the move for Saturday night. Do not expect a timely move.
