I highly recomend Van Gogh movers. I recently moved out of a 3 bedroom apt in Brooklyn, NY to another 3BR in a different neighborhood. I also had the movers store my belongings for 4 days between move-out and move-in. The moving cost did not include packing, this i did myself. Fiinal cost for the move and storage was approx $2,600. This was for a 6 man team on the move out and a 5 man team for the move in. Each move took roughly 5 hours.
Overall, Van Gogh was TERRIFIC. They were prompt, honest, fast working and careful. When i initially called, I spoke to the owner, Ralph (?) He worked up a quote and provided a quick ballpark response. The next day, he sent his partner, Tom, to my apt to review our stuff. Tom was on-time, personable and clearly had many yrs of experience. He refined the initial verbal estimate and actually came DOWN a couple of hundred dollars.
On moving day, they showed up on time, worked well with my building staff, worked very quickly and did a great job.
The storage and move-in went equally smoothly. There were no unexpected or additional charges - they even through in a few rolls of tape and boxes for free.
Overall, they exceeded expectations and I would highly recomend them.
