I contracted USVL after having such a pleasant experience with Paige (customer service rep) during the "interview" and booking phase. That is where the pleasantries ended. I had to call repeatedly (almost daily) to get updates after my furniture was picked up on its whereabouts and expected delivery date. When the furniture finally arrived, the movers unpacked it and "ohhh-ed" and "awe'd" at the horrible condition of it. Ironically, one of the same guys who supposedly packed it at the origination also delivered the furniture. My Crate-n-Barrel bookshelf was completely ripped at the base, rendering it useless. My less than 2 year old Como platform bed from Macy's was scratch on every piece you can imagine (bed rails, head boards, etc). And, the most devastating is that my Pier 1 dining room table was cracked completely along the length of it. They left all damaged furniture, after taking pictures and calling in to the local company (yes, USVL sub-contracted my move to Infinity Moving). No one bothered to follow up with me. I called and sent pictures of the damage. I received a letter today stating that they would send me a check for $114 if I release all further obligation. That is the amount allowed when you do not purchase additional insurance.
I have moved 4+ times interstate and never experienced such disregard for my property and poor customer service. I would NEVER suggest anyone call this company. They take your money before you can even verify that your shipment arrived in the same condition that it left.
