2 -23-12 made a deposit and scheduled my 86 year old mothers pickup for 3-30-12 in Jupiter, FL. to move to Lewisville, TX with United States Vanlines.
3-23-12 I received a call from customer service requesting pickup date change to 3-31-12 because this date accommodates the driver.
3-30-12 received a call from the driver that he is in the area and will be there in 10 minutes for your scheduled pickup,
No communication from customer service what so ever to update me with this sudden change back to the originally scheduled date! The driver was actually not sure where the schedule change came in to play anyway! Hmmm should of known this was a Mickey Mouse Operation at this point!
3-28-12 received email from our so called "Personal Moving Consultant" letting me know she knows nothing about the status of my mother's delivery date but she advised me that we would know 48 to 72 hours prior to our delivery.
4-5-12 Indira Maharaj,
Customer Service Representative calls to tell me that she needs two more days before she can give me a date of delivery,
4-7-12 Indira Maharaj - CSR calls at 12:30pm to tell me in a happy go lucky voice your delivery will be there tomorrow 4-8-12 in the afternoon! my reply was REALLY you have to be joking - Easter Sunday! She told me that we had to accept it that day or be fined for not accepting delivery! I rearranged my entire Easter dinner party to accommodate this delivery that NEVER came! No phone call - No nothing!!
4-9-12 I called the United States Vanlines and bypassed customer service and went directly to a supervisor. He told me that he needed to contact the driver to find out what the problem was. Low and behold guess who calls me back - not the supervisor but the good for nothing customer service rep Indira Maharaj who tells me the driver could not deliver because the customer before me did -not show up to accept their delivery on Easter! Do ya think a phone call from the company and/or driver to let me know would of been the appropriate thing to do - especially since I rearranged my entire Easter dinner to accommodate a delivery that never happen!! Of course not because they are all enjoying Easter with their families - like it should be!
4-9-12 get a call from Indira Maharaj specifically told me the customer that did not show up is being fined $450 plus for the inconvenience. She told we are so sorry for all the confusion and the inconvenience the driver will make the delivery tomorrow 4-9-12 at 7:00 pm. Tick Tock Tick Tock 7:15pm receive a phone call from Rigoberto the driver that he is in route and will arrive @ 8:45pm. I asked him what happen to the delivery yesterday (Easter) and he told me -"Mam I do not deliver yesterday Easter -I cannot due to my religion"! Well Well Well imagine that! So basically I was lied to by my so called CSR, Indira Maharaj and the driver never had any intention to deliver at all! Now back to the 8:45pm delivery for 4-9-12, I told Rigoberto the delivery cannot be accepted this late due to the fact that it is being delivered to a Senior Living Facility that have residents that range from age 70 to 100 and they are sleeping at this hour of night! He proceeds to tell me that he must call his boss and ask for permission to deliver tomorrow morning at 6:00am - He is totally off his rocker! I proceeded to tell him I will see you at 7:00am and not a minute earlier - But Mam I have two more pickups tomorrow one in Austin and one San Antonio - my reply so sorry I guess you will be late!
Now do you want to hear something hilarious - he told me that I must present a check before he will unload my mother's shipment- lol haha he is a piece of work! Pay before I see what condition my things are in - I THINK NOT!
I suggest that you delete United States Vanlines from your search engine and find a company that follows through with the promises you pay for. I was screwed don't be a fool like me do your research, pay a little extra for customer service and quality because United Vanlines is a total joke and is lacking in all areas, you name it they just lack it all!
Stay Clear of United Stated Vanlines!
