Do not use this company. My quote was more than doubled to 4568.10. Than informed by Avi my possesions would go back to their warehouse & stored till I called for delivery. Was told by Justin that p/u would be made by semi & delivery in 8-14 days. An old pink straight truck showed up. Already had everything on trk when I was informed of charges. I am 67 yrs old & felt a little intimadated so I let them go thinking it had to be a mistake. How can you figure cubic feet if truck not packed to ceiling? I live in a 1 bedroom apt that was 476 square feet, washer & dryer, no other appliances. after talking to Rick at United. realized was no mistake. I even asked him to send someone to warehouse to remeasure, told not possible. No way to come up with this kind of money. Original move was Lake Wales, FL to Toledo, OH. I did not want to lose everything so have now asked them to deliver things to Haines City, FL. Have already paid 2524.50 & they now want 440.00 more to do this. I have moved locally many times, nener hear of anyone paying over 2900.00 to move a total of 811 miles back & forth. I was a dispatcher in trucking company for 22 years & have never heard of something like this. Could move a full semi trk & trailer across country for this.. Hope someone can tell if I have any recourse? I am alone & live on Social Security.
