They arrived on time. They committed to next day delivery. They were a day late. They did a decent job of packing and padding items. Shawn got the truck about half loaded and then told me we had too many items and there would be additional charges. The cost of the move almost doubled. Shawn insisted on a check made out to cash and then asked for a ride to our bank to c ash the check before he left. Very strange. They took our household goods to Dallas and transferred the items to another truck. The drop off truck arrived in Kansas a day later than promised at 7 in the evening. The driver had no help. The first thing he started on was that there would be additional charges for stairs and a long carry. The distance did not even meet the company definition of long carry. An argument ensued. I did not pay the additional charges. The dispatcher called and was very rude. She threatened to take our items to storage and charge us for that and redelivery costs. The driver said to heck with them and that he was quitting when he got back. There were several damaged items. They broke 2 legs off of a table. They gouged a dresser and broke a corner off of it. He did unload the truck. The driver handled items very rough. He dropped items. He moved the dresser by flipping it end over end. Other items were also damaged. These folks will low ball an estimate and when half loaded charge significantly more. We were hostages in that we had to be out of the house that day as it was sold. Words that come to mind in dealing with United Transport are liars, cheats, thieves, and absolutely the worst and rudest customer service i have ever seen. I have moved a lot and never had a b a d experience until these folks. Contact me if you want to. Whatever you do save yourself time, trouble, money and frustration. Use anyone else. Nothing could be any worse than United Transport. NOTHING!
