The movers USA Express Moving were moving our stuff from Philadelphia to Dallas. They did a visual estimate and gave it as fixed price of 1800$. The estimator and all the sales folks we talked to said we would get the stuff in 5-7 days and in a maximum of 10 days. Although they said they would not guarantee a date but they said usually they would do the move in 5-7 days and 10 days tops. On the scheduled pickup date the folks called before and were on time and they packed and loaded the boxes/furniture..etc into their van in 2-3 hours. Everything was rosy until they picked up, no hassles,no hiccups. They also helped me find a car moving company. The car was picked up by the other company on the day we flew to Dallas on the 5th day. When we did not hear from them on day 6 we called them to ask the status and this is were the "sneakyness" of the movers started. They said that they could not tell us yet when it will arrive and it was more or less the later part of next week and that will let us know more only after the weekend which would be day 11 by then and when questioned about delivery before 10 days, the answer was "Dont know who told that but usually it takes 7-14 days". And on day 11 when we called back they said that the stuff will arrive sometime that week and they will call and let us know more that wed/thurs. When they did not call by Thursday we called to enquire and they said that it would be another week before it arrives and when again questioned about the 5-7 to max 10 days, answer this time is ""Dont know who told that but usually it takes 7-14-21 days". Ultimately we got our stuff on day 22. When the driver and his helper were here, they unloaded fast. No complains with the actual people who did the loading/unloading and even the estimatoir/sales were good if you remove the 5-7 to 10 day promise they made. The actual folks who were running the operations and who wont tell you anything are the sneaky ones. The company is a sneaky one and if they contradict what they initially tell you and then contradict by saying ' dont know who told you that' after they have your stuff and you dont have any choice other then wait. I DO NOT recommend using such a sneaky company who are not upfront as to the time and change their word knowing very well you cannot do anything when they have all your stuff.
