I found U Van line by Billy.com. On email quote for moving locally ( 10 minutes away between two houses), we were quoted 4hours service with 4men help for 95 $ per hour, with 7% discount if we pay cash, total quote is 388$, without any extra charge for moving up stairs. I also asked very special about moving the baby grand piano, but Bobby the representative said "no"
4 men with a big truck came to our house on time on the set date, but soon we found out that all of our furnuture need wrap up ( like sofa, chairs...) and each piece cost 25$ extra, and for the piano and one special chest the wrap fee was 560$
Also time work will take at least 8hours, the minimum fee would be 1400$. I refused to pay those fee but he said they had to do it. Finally we ask them just move all items not need to wrap and we take full response for damage ( if happen) for the price that was quote 95$ per hour and we paid by hour working, leave the piano and the chest alone so we can have someone else to move later because we can not afforded to pay right now but they refused and left without any reponsibility for broken our schedule. We have to call all our friends to help
The U van line moving is not good at all. I called the company to ask for help right after the men left and wanted to speak with the supervise on working hour but the lady answer the phone can not find our order number on her system and said no one with higher position can speak with me after put me on hold for a while.
Over all, we were very upset with the U van mover for not honest in the quote. We hope that no one else have the same experience like us.
