First thing every one using a moving company for the first time should know that Trans United is a broker and not your actual movers. They contact actual moving companies and you deal with whomever they choose for you. I contacted Trans United and spoke to James several times and told James of my concern of the date of delivery because my husband had to book a flight to Fl to meet the movers. James said 8,9 10 days from the pick up date would be fine. The movers name was American Home Movers from Las Vegas. They picked are furniture up on the scheduled pick up date. They were good and packed our stuff well. The day before the 1st available delivery date I called American Home Movers and asked if the delivery of our stuff was going to be the next day (actual scheduled date). There answer - NO, and it was sitting in Las Vegas 7 days from the pickup date. I said it was suppose to be delivered the next day in FL (that wasn't going to happen). They said they would get it on the truck the next day and would take another 7-8 days. In the mean time. My husband had to re-schedule his flight back home to Indiana 10 days later. American Movers said most of the time it takes 14 days on a move west coast to east coast. This info of 14 days move was on both contracts of Trans United and American Home movers. Long before the actual move, I called James and questioned him about the 14 days again he said the delivery date we scheduled should be fine, so we made plane reservations based on James's word. WHAT A Hassle!! American movers said we had to deal with Trans-United for our problems, and Trans-United said we had to deal with American Home Movers. My husband has called Robert @ TU in the complaint dept twice and e-mailed our complaint. It has been 2 weeks No Response.
