Swift Movers Van Lines

We initially decided to go with Swift because of the great quote we received of just over $2946K. We ended up paying over $8K when it was all said and done. The movers came on time and once everything was loaded, they handed up an "updated" quote of over 8K. If we had decided at that point to not have gone with them, they wanted just over $1K to unload our belongings. We were stuck so we decided to go along with it and try to settle this with the General Manager, Anthony Brooks. Huge mistake. He was rude, unprofessional, and even threatened to sue us if we tried to dispute the charges in any way. He also threatened us if we "don't take care of their movers on the back end" with a better tip. Once the move was complete, the movers unloading, broke our Pottery Barn dining table (which we have not been able to use since then). We filed a claim with the company to have them cover the cost of repair; however, they only offered a percentage of what the dining table cost us, which only came out to about $130. We decided not to pursue it further because it wouldn't have covered anything and by the time they wanted our notarized paperwork, it simply wouldn't have been worth it. As we cleared out our boxes in the garage over the next few weeks we noticed that my 8 year old son's jar of change (his savings), which estimated close to $500 had gone missing.
This company is VERY, VERY sketchy and I would never recommend them to anyone. If I can deter you away from these people, even if it was just one customer, then I would be happy. I wouldn't have wasted my time in doing this review if I felt strongly about this company's work ethics. Please feel free to ask me anything if you need clarification.
