They lie from the very beginning. Pete, the sales guy, lied about how the company operates. Super Jet Van Lines is not a moving company, they are a subcontracting warehouse. Pete, the liar, explained to me how the truck that would deliver my things would pick up my stuff and drive directly yo the destination, that is why I needed to secure a booking 2 months in advance. Pete lied. They take your things, put them in a warehouse (or outside in the rain), then contract another company to move them, then delay delivery with zero communication.
Pete also lied about the cost. I carefully measured the items and described them to Pete. He proceeded to quote me a price that was 60% of what was actually charged. They require a substantial deposit (30%) and then jack the price up after your valuables are loaded. The next lie is about delivery time. Pete told me 5 to 10 business days, but it turns out it is 14 to 21 calendar days, another lie, and my stuff was on their truck with my deposit in their bank. No communication. As the final delivery date approached and I had heard nothing from Super Jet Van Lines, I called. Turns out they had sent my things to another company. I get this email from the second company telling me my things will be delivered one 3 or 4 days after the original last day promised by the liars. It is now 23 calendar days, 2 past the due date, and I must wait even longer. But no, this second company does not ship household goods so my things go back to Super Jet. I called to ask when I might get my things, "truck will leave this Sunday and you should get your belongings Wednesday or Thursday" was the next lie. Truck does not leave until that following Wednesday. When will I get my things? Friday during the hours I am supposed to be at work. Will I get my things? Eventually, the truck shows up (90 minutes late even though he called one hour before scheduled drop time but he needed to sleep). Two guys, dirty, smelly, but generally good-natured, finally pull the truck to my abode and begin to unload. Except not all of my things are on the truck. I was missing two items: and small metal trash can (not a huge deal it was cheap) and a hand cart. Mind you, the hand cart cost $250. It is one of those 2-wheel or 4-wheel industrial grade hand trucks that can handle up to 1000 lbs. It was stolen. Additionally, all of my boxes were soaked. Everything wet, all of it. I have not checked the electronics I shipped or gotten through all of the papers but so far, I have been able to recover my things with some careful drying and laundry. However, my bar-stool chair had its seat ripped off, every lamp was bent, my end table had the legs smashed off, my mattress has stains, vacuum cleaner no longer pulls vacuum, basically, if they could smash it, they did. In an attempt to recover, I called the liars hoping it was just a mistake and they would send me my things and compensate for their evil. I was wrong. They are evil. Go ahead and use this company if you like being lied to, ignored, robbed, and violated. Mean people, every last one of them.
