I contracted "Straight Forward Moving" to move my Household goods from New Jersey to California and 15-June-2013 the company picked up my household from NJ home. As per contract,1) All household goods should reach to California within 21 business days after pick-up date.Otherwise, per day USD 25 will be paid 2) If 53 ft trolley allowed in the apartment complex, there will be no extra charge for long haul .
I received 80% of the households on 27-Jul-2013 i.e after 2 months of pick-up date . Even after 7 months we did not receive wardrobe & Chair i.e I did not receive 100% of my household. As per policy , each working days after 21 days , I will receive USD 25.So, the outstanding amount will be ( 180 days@ 25 ) USD 4500 .Secondly,in my community it has been clearly posted on the board , longer than 55 ft Trolley is not allowed i.e upto 55 ft trolley allowed. I signed the contract accordingly. So, as per contract , I should not pay anything for long over haul. On 27-July -2013 ( i.e on Day of Delivery) “Moving Cross Country, INC” brought a big trcuk of 73 fts long and told me if I do not give USD 250 , they will return everything to warehouse.I am forced to give USD 250 in cash on 27-Jul . In reality , they parked the truck next to our house and did the long overhaul of max 100 ft. As per contract I should not pay any money for that.So, I should get back that money.So, otal outstanding till today $4500 + $250 = $ 4750 .I called customer service everyday (around 100 times for last 3 months ) and they told me everytime , I will receive my wardrobe & Chair by this weekend. But I never received those and I can provide the call transcript with the Moving company upon request .
Till now I have received only USD 200 on dated 14-sep-2013. This money they gave me as 80% of the goods received after 21 business days. But I should get as per contract USD 4750 and my wardrobe and chair , as those items are in their warehouse which is confirmed by them many times.
