After Statewide telling the delivery driver to "Just take their stuf back to Las Vegas and let them deal with it" because I questioned if a $400 transfer to another truck was necessary, it took 3 days of being lied to to finally get the driver to deliver. I had already paid for the delivery up front so they just didn't care in the slightest about anything from me. Once they had the money their whole attitude changed to one of not caring at all about what happened to us or our stuff. (Turns out the delivery without the $400 transfer worked just fine.) The driver let me know that he was never working with this company again and was delivering against their orders and was worried for his future employment over this. He had to deliver on his own time to get this to happen, (which we really appreciated,) and this put the delivery at 11:30pm. He only had one other guy with him, and hired someone random off of the street in the middle of the move to help them. I'm glad that the driver was far more honest than the company, but this was pretty absurd.
Today we are going through the boxes that were delivered and finding broken item after broken item. A 50 year old cedar chest has it's legs shattered. At least half of our dishes and glasses are broken. All of our silverware, which was washed before packing, has some sort of grey film on it. Our wooden furniture is all stained with something from the blankets they used. We have only opened up about 10% of the stuff and this is what I am seeing.
I am amazed that this company is still in business. The orignal quote, (From Nationwide, not Statewide,) was half of the final 4K+ total. Hidden fees poped up at every turn. I had asked on the phone extremely specifically for all associated costs, but as they were loading things one more hidden fee after another was added. Really shady group that does not deserve anyone's business.
I have a strong feeling that most if not all of these 5 star reviews are complete BS added by the company itself. Most look like they are written by the same person and they are describing something that is the polar opposite of what I experienced.
