I've gone through my share of movers. I count my blessings that I have never been scammed but I did have to deal with a fair amount of mediocre moving companies. My experience with StarCity was anything but that.
The customer service gal, Leslie, was great to work with and really I should've listened to her suggestion for storage unit size (I was being cheap and ended up having to rent 2 units). We worked by email and phone. She explained everything, including double drive time and confirmed the move the day before. They showed up right on time. My husband actually met with them because i was still out picking up donuts and coffee. I got back about 30 mins after they showed up and couldn't believe half the house was already empty. We had 4 movers (Chris, Javier, Pedro and Felix) all hard working, fast, efficient, professional and friendly. They didn't even complain about the fact that we just weren't as ready to move as we should've been. We moved from a 3 bedroom house in New York to a storage unit in NJ. They were quicker than the original quoted time and took great care wrapping our stuff with blankets and stretch wrap, especially our dining set and china hutch.
These guys are highly highly recommended!
