This is the first time that I have ever had to use professional movers for a move. My husband and I have been living in a 2 bedroom apt in Fresno for the past 2 years and we have purchased a couple of one of kind pieces that we definitely wanted moved professionally (instead of calling up a few friends and paying them back with love, friendship and pizza)
I have only heard horror stories about moving companies before: Lazy packaging, Sleazy movers, and ridiculous surcharges while holding your stuff in the truck unwilling to unload unless you pay whatever mysterious fees they come up in the moment! With that said, I was determined to find a moving company with integrity if that even existed so I researched and I found that Silver van lines seemed to be the choice hands down!
The customer service is fantastic, they are very friendly, polite and made the coordination extremely easy. I gave them a list of the furniture I had and they immediately gave me a quote. When the day of the move came, something unexpected came up where we had contractor bags for some items but the movers told me they couldn't take those, even though I had called before hand to ask if it was ok. So the 'move coordinator' (who is an absolutely sweet and delightful man), called their customer service and immediately someone called me back to assure me that they would pack those up for us free of extra charge! We moved everything into a storage unit and they 'tetrised' everything in perfectly!
Summary: Couldn't be happier. Will call again when we move things back to our new place. Definitely will recommend to everyone I know!
