I would never recommend this company. We moved in late Decemeber 2011 and the problems begun from day 1. Late pick up (said they would reimburse hotel stay, never did), late delivery, lost items (exepcted), and they sub-contract the work out to another moving company so they can claim its not their issue after pick up. To top it off they charged us a little over $2000 more than what we should have paid and broke their contract ( on the back they said they do not charge more than the space used on the moving truck). Their attempt to resolve the issue is a merry-go-round of excuses. They offered us a small settlement to stop us from telling the truth on the internet to other customers and we refused. When we went to the BBB to file a complaint, they went as far as forging one of our moving documents to make it look like we signed a binding agreement, when in fact we did not. I will give some credit to Maxx for trying to solve the problem, but of course we got no where with this company because of the unreasonableness. It is a shame companies are allowed to operate this way. They will probably end up trying to justify their business practice but the fact is they have so many reviews similar to this experience that it is not an isolated incident. When you google their reviews there are far more complaints than there are good reviews. It is a shame that a company like this gives a bad name to the moving industry.
