Wow. Is there a 7 star rating? If there was, I would be giving it to Roadway Moving. HOW CAN I EXPRESS THAT THIS IS THE BEST MOVING COMPANY THAT I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. I had to move my CEO boss out of his 5 million dollar triplex penthouse in the financial district and on top of that it was a long distance move to Las Vegas. This was an insane move and a CRAZY JOB. How about a 2 ton statue that needed special equipment to be moved? How about ridiculously expensive and fragile items that are probably irreplaceable? How about 3 pick up locations including the 2 additional stops (his office and his storage space)? How about a separate truck going upstate to Goshen, New York to take some of the items to his daughter? I am talking about disassembling furniture that was A NIGHTMARE. A custom built murphy bed that I was completely sure couldn't be taken apart and put together again. An entertainment center that is bigger than my apartment, custom built and a complete nightmare. I WAS TERRIFIED. So many complex details in this move, so many different pick up and drop off locations. This was a nightmare and it was my job to make sure it went well. Roadway packed every item perfectly, china boxes, wood crates, wardrobe boxes, you name it! The best. NOTHING BROKE OR WAS DAMAGED DURING THIS MOVE. It's a freaking miracle that every single item ended up where it was supposed to go and nothing was damaged. This company uses their own trucks and labor FROM START TO FINISH.
Jeff Cadwallader was THE BEST!! Absolutely the most professional, honest and thorough guy in the business. From start to finish. CERTIFICATES OF INSURANCE FOR MULTIPLE BUILDINGS and even throughout the job (when most people would vanish on you) he was still helping me work out last minute issues.
The staff at Roadway were all fantastic, the packers/crew was incredibly professional and on time. They MADE NO SCRATCHES, NO SCUFFS ON THE WALL and handled this job with ULTIMATE CARE.
I met with a dozen companies before making my choice. Their price was competitive BUT DON'T BE FOOLED BY DISCOUNT PRICING. You get what you pay for. For a little but more, you won't have ANY OF THE HEADACHES that come along with moving. THIS IS THE BEST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH AND I HAVE DEALT WITH A FEW AT THIS POINT. I've had items missing and damaged from previous moves. I had a marble table break in half and then not even get the stupid 60 cents a pound that's included in the price. I've dealt with garbage companies and ROADWAY IS THE BEST. I've had my stuff lost on a truck heading for (who knows where) for weeks at a time. I've had some jerk in the office say "i'll call you back" a thousand times. I've been there.
PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND USE ROADWAY MOVING. You will soon be singing their praises.
