Reliable Movers located in Auburn NY arrived on time and seemed to be fairly friendly guys. I thought I had chose well due to their convincing ad.
When I first phoned Reliable Movers they raised the cost, claiming they were not in the area , even though they advertised in my area and upon my questing them about their company they assured me they were a professional moving service.
I almost declined when they were first in the apt and I saw they did not have the standard items a professional moving company carries, such as wrap and protective items for my furniture. I asked if they had a dolly to which they also did not. However they assured me they could get it into my apt. Due to their friendly disposition I accepted and I even gave one of the movers a substantial gift I no longer had use for.
Upon delivery I noticed a scratch on the front of a brand new dresser only one year old. They said they might have a marker in the truck to try to fix it however it went left unmentioned after they disappeared to retrieve more furniture.
I paid them, even tipped them to realize later that I was missing two boxes. One very light in weight, large box containing a vintage shade that goes to a set of vintage Stiffel lamps. Quite a costly collectible. I'm also missing musical heavy equipment and irreplaceable family photos.
Upon completely unpacking within a weeks time I contacted Reliable movers of my missing items to which their disposition changed accusing me of being hostile. They refused to even question their movers claiming they have a camera in their truck and denying my allegations.
I also gave the movers a key card to open the gate to the building to which they never returned and claimed they never received, yet had the audacity to contact the owners of my building concerning the key they claimed to never have received in a patronizing manner, disclosing personal information and violating my legal right to privacy. I pay a very high price for the amenities I have.
I have discontinued email converse with this faux moving company,however I continue to receive deterring emails from them addressing me by unknown names, animosity and threats.
