Regions provided an estimate (after an on-site inspection) of $3100. Final actual price: $7100.
It is impossible to get anyone on the phone. It takes days and days because people there do no return messages. On the day of our move out, the movers showed up almost two hours late. Because of this, they could not finish in one day and had to return three days later to finish moving out.
As our stuff made its way north, I tried in vain to get someone from customer service to contact us to discuss the vast canyon between the estimate and the actual cost. I tried to contact Tom Edwards. He ignored days of messages. I finally got him on the phone luckily the day before our stuff arrived. He said there must have been a lot of things I didn't show him when he did our visual estimate. Apparently, I hid $4000 worth of things in my closet! He directed me to customer service. They took my information and promised to call me back. They did not.
When the movers arrived in Philadelphia, it was 3:30pm on a Saturday. They only had two men. The third allegedly had a personal issue and had to leave during the trip up. They claimed exhaustion at 9pm and asked to come back tomorrow.
They deliberately waited until day two to bring in the most damaged items. Our white couch was covered in a blue film from the packing materials. Multiple boxes were wet and mildewed including the box with my wife's scrapbooks and our wedding album. When she became upset, the movers simply left. They left multiple large items unpacked. They left a stairwell banister they removed in the middle of the floor. Multiethnic items like televisions and our china cabinet were not put together in the correct place. When I refused to sign the paperwork until they finished, they shrugged and said they were done and then left as quickly as possible.
Do yourself a favor and ignore Regions Van Lines like the plague.
