We booked guys from R&C relocation services at the last minute. This was the first time I've used professional movers and I have to say they were worth every penny. They were right on time, professional, and incredibly efficient. The guys were a lot of fun and made the whole experience a lot less stressful than it usually is for me. They were also very up front about the charges.
Critical lessons from the experience:
1) Have them move as much as possible - including "fragile" items like dishes and TVs. They were a lot more careful than I was and the only thing that broke was something I moved.
2) Do not pack your clothes - leave them on the hangars in your closet - they have garment boxes for this for a reason.
3) Be prepared. They are prompt and you need to be ready to go when they are there. They are fast and efficient but will be slowed down if you aren't prepared. This will cost time and money.
