This Company Will Steal Your Furniture

This company was hired by my elderly parents on the basis of their internet reviews, price and my recommendation. The customer service was friendly and helpful in the beginning. However, seven weeks have passed and no delivery. After the first week, we were told that the truck had broken down. Further inquiries resulted in no response by email or telephone. Inquiry after inquiry went unanswered. We had no idea, and it seemed this company had no idea, where the furniture was.
The manager finally responded only after being contacted by the police. He was apologetic. His explanation was that the items were being stored in Arizona while they sought transportation that met their standards. He stated that Montana was a difficult state to move to. The original move had been combined with another, but that fell through leaving just my parents smaller move. He said they were not making any money on the deal. When asked, he said they would provide a refund, however there would be additional charges for storage. They had already charged my parents $1000.00 more than the original quote. I requested a copy of the contract and he stated he would have his secretary mail it the next day. To date we have not received a copy.
He said this was an unusual incident and that he would personally look into the matter and expedite the move. He promised a price adjustment. He said he would contact me when the furniture was on its way. He assured me the furniture was safe. We have not heard from him.
Seven weeks have passed and once again there is no one responds to our inquires. We have no choice but to report the furniture as stolen and are pursue criminal action.
Do not trust, do not hire this company!
