VERY VERY disrepectful staff, unethical, unreliable.
I originally hired a company Beckens Moving and Storage for my move from Ohio to North Carolina. Apparently Beckens contracted with this company, Quality Move. On pick-up day they did not call or show up. I called them and they tell me that they will be there the following day. Which again on the following day they did not call or show up. On the third day of anticipating theyre arrival, they show up 2 and half hours late. After leaving with my belongings I wait 4 days before calling to check the status of my stuff. At which time I learn that they are a completely different company from the company I had originally made arrangements with. They also told me that my stuff was in a warehouse in Illinois and that they would not deliver my household good untill I paid them $950, and that I would owe them another $950 upon delivery of my stuff. I was quoted for $1200. They told me that the 2 bedrooms I was moving was 6500 pounbds (which I find very unbelievable) They also told me I would receive a military discount of %20. When all was said and done I find out they take the %20 discount off of the quoted price, not off of the ending balance. This is just the tip of the iceberg..however to make a long story short my husband and I have consulted with a JAG officer (military lawyer) about this disaster! Please please please avoid these two companies at all costs. You will not be satisfied. My stuff is yet to be delivered so I may be adding another post in the near future depending on the condition of my goods =(
