I will try to spare you the time of reading a long review about QUALITY MOVE CO.
1) Received furniture 23 days AFTER first available day to receive, was told over phone (before, during, and after pick-up) that this delivery distance will take UP TO 3 days from first available day to receive
2) Slept on apt floor every night until furniture arrived
3) Called almost everyday, only received ONE call back when I was told they would call back. Quote: "I call you right back"
4) Was told I was being unreasonable and it was not their fault (fairly rude in terms of customer service) spoke mainly to RACHEL and the manager JOHN
5) Most important information about process and charges were brought up after furniture was loaded into truck @ 5:30am
6) For pick-up movers were 12 HOURS LATE, Yes - Suppose to arrive morning of 24th, arrived @ 1am on the 25th and left @ 5:30am on the 25th. (Did not sleep well that night)
7) Did not receive ANY paperwork or documentation, when asked was told it would be mailed after furniture had been dropped off and all money was received, still waiting
8) Customer service NON-EXISTANT, everyone talked to was short and never gave a straight answer, acted as if I was annoying them. I am sorry, I gave you a large amount of money as well all of my personal belongings.
9) Refused to lower fees to compensate poor service, again no paperwork to verify company’s excuses
10) Quoted $1759, paid $1055 @ pick-up, was charged $1030 @ drop-off (due to needing another truck because first truck would not fit into the lot in front of apt), able to talk down to $779 ($75 more then what was quoted, used MY pickup truck to shuttle furniture)
11) At drop-off some items were damaged: few boxes crushed, plastic bin shredded, leather wrestling dummy’s arm almost ripped off (if you’ve seen these dummies, they are very well constructed)
I do not recommend QUALITY MOVE CO. They are based out of CHICAGO, IL and have been nothing but a headache since I hired them. I was under the impression they were a good company biased on a review from another site and the BBB scores them well, don’t know why.
