Any company representative (Rosh Francis, supervising driver) who would deliberately lie to their customer about having found a missing marble top to my coffee table, and stand before me and tell me when it would be delivered, should not be employed by a so-called professional moving company. It has been five weeks since my furniture was delivered but still no top for my coffee table and no communication with their office.
Not one of the people I dealt with at this company has proven themselves to be trustworthy or honest. Not one! They stopped accepting my calls as soon as they realized there was a problem, and I assure you I've been nothing but courteous in my dealings with them.
There are quite a few positive reviews on this site. Assuming the reviews are from real customers, congratulations! You're the lucky ones. You managed to get all your belongings intact, but God help you if something goes wrong, then the nightmare begins. I anticipate more negative reviews for Proud American Vanlines (PAVL). Stealing my marble top is just one of the many problems I had with this company.
Bottom line: Unless you like to gamble on your possessions and your money, don't let the positive reviews fool you. Look (carefully) at other companies for your move. It is my opinion that PAVL should not be in the moving business or, at the very least, they should consider total reorganization of those they employ.
