In my research I was warned off about this company by a competitor who claimed they were a broker and unreliable. I chose to call Proud American Movers and confront them on the allegation. Khrystyna assured me that they were NOT a broker, that the movers would show up with their Proud American Movers shirts and truck, and that they quote was final. These statements turned out to be blatant LIES. Three men who barely spoke English showed up in an UNMARKED truck to pick up my belongings. They immediately made me sign a new contract with a different company that declared the previous quote null and void, and said they would provide a new price once the items were on the truck. My stuff had to be out of the apartment by the end of the day so I had no choice. The quote ended up increasing by 50%. One piece of furniture was broken in transit and another never arrived. I'm now waiting 120 days while the claim is researched. The company will not return my phone calls. AVOID THIS MOVING COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!
