I asked many questions of the Sales Person before I commited to this company. My Sales representative was very good and seemed to be knowledgeable. Once the move was turned over to Dispatch things fell apart quickly and the service was terrible. Showed up 1 day and 8 hours late. When I tried to get Customer Service to act I got the Statement "Well we can cancel your move if you don't like it". Then the movers told me that I had been given wrong information about packing and I ended up having to pay several hundred dollars extra.
I had confirmed with the Sales Person that the Drivers and Vans were actually a part of the Proud American Moving Company. The driver called me and told me he was in Phoenix and would be in Vegas to deliver my goods Sunday morning. Sunday morning the driver called me and told me he was having trouble finding helpers to unload so it would be late Sunday. Late Sunday afternoon the Driver called me and told me he could not deliver until sometime Monday as he could not find helpers to unload. Finally, Monday Midday the truck arrived. First thing the driver asked me was to go and buy some Pizza for him and the helpers as they wanted to eat lunch. My Wife and i were amazed but being at their mercy I went and got two large pizzas. I asked the driver how long he had worked for Proud American and he told me he was an independent driver brokered out to Proud American. Bottom line is this company is worse than terrible. I had many items broken including several non replacable antiques. Proud American Movings position is that I must be able to prove cost and or value. I gave up and resigned myself to tell everyone I know that this company is a terrible and never ever use them of refer anyone to them. I might mention that during this moving experience I tried on several occasions to reach a Customer Service Supervisor yet no one ever returned my call.
