We contracted with P.A. They subcontracted to MyMovingCentral without or knowledge or consent. Delivery date was supposed to be June 20. Try June 30. For 10 ten days, our phone calls went directly to voice mail, or we were hung up on. A couple early calls resulted in us being given phone numbers to call: (1) Voice mail full. (2) "I've never worked there"(3) "Who gave you my number?" They were supposed to call us with a new price on pick up...they never did. The only way we knew our stuff had been picked up was when we called our former storage unit ourselves. The total jumped from $2466 to $3448 to almost $5400, before it went down to $5059. We were not provided with weight tickets. Or info that FMSCA requires. Movers - turned out to be 3 guys from a temp agency. Lots of damaged stuff (replacement value over $1800 and counting as we sort through our stuff). Stolen/missing stuff. To add to it, by this time Moving Central had our stuff. They said if a 53 foot truck could not fit into apartment complex....more charges! So we had to have it delivered to a large storage unit. Stuff was stacked badly - heavy cases on light items, causing a stack of boxes to collapse and fall over. Furniture was not reassembled as promised. In fact, two end tables and a bookcase were completely destroyed. Every other piece of furniture sustained scratches and chips. Some missing wheels, screws. After dealing with these "professional" movers, I will be using a U-Haul in the future.
