This moving company is a complete RIP OFF!! They quoted us with a 3 man moving team at $70 an hour. Loading and unloading included. It was only an 18 mile move from a small apartment. We were told to figure on around 3 hrs worth of work at a total of $210. What we received was a bill for over $1200!!!
We were moving from an apartment complex and you have to schedule a move time to use the freight elevator. The movers were supposed to be there between 9-10. However they didn't show up until 1045.
They charge for a "long move" any distance over 50 ft. Which in most cases doesn't even cover a small driveway, let alone a short walk down a hallway. We were also charged $24 for tolls, even though there were no tolls during our move. And on top of that they charged 2 hrs of travel time.
While they were moving they wrapped everything in their provided blankets under no direction from me. Then proceeded to charge me $5 a blanket for it! And when I called to speak with the manager, Sam, he flat out told me that even though you can rent them from budget for $2 each, they charge $5 "because they can". So that was $100 in blankets! We also had a mirror that was part of a dresser that the movers wrapped in a box that they provided, for the small fee of $70!!! At no point during the move was I informed of these charges until they gave me the bill and said I could either pay the bill and they would unload my belongings, or they would take them to a storage center.
This company is completely out of hand and should be charged with fraud! DO NOT EVER USE THEM!!!
