There are a couple of things that I would like to say before beginning my tale.
1. Three (that I know for sure) of these Raving reviews were written by people who work at the company.
2. I am not writing this for any other reason than to warn people about this company. I am not in the venting stage anymore, but would have liked to have been warned about them myself.
I used this company to move from Los Angeles to Salt Lake City. I was overwhelmed with so many moving companies, and went with them because they "Quoted" me one of the cheapest prices. After the "quote price" went from $1,100 to $1,900 (only after they had put it all into their truck) we were a little flabbergasted. I still was in the mindset that if every thing else went ok then I wouldn't have been that upset.
Problem #1 came when they had told us they had trucks going to our area 4 times a week. Well, they actually only had one ever 8 days, so we couldn't get our stuff when we wanted it (still not that big of a deal).
Problem #2 came when 4 items showed up ridiculously broken. Piece of glass shattered, leg broken off a lounge chair, Antique vanity had 2 legs literally snapped in half, metal desk had been bent and twisted (no exaggeration on any of these).
Problem #3 came when we realized that we were missing some boxes (atleast 2 we thought, though it could have been just one) Asked and asked and asked about this over the next two months and still don't know what else was in this box, and the company has no knowledge of its whereabout.
Well, the delivery guy just talked and talked and talked (I dealt with three people in the company and they are all like this.....constantly giving you the runaround.) about how I was gonna be taken care of, but they Demand the second half of what you owe paid IN CASH before they will even unpack it. (you pay first half upon pickup) Wasn't all that upset yet, stuff happens from time to time, and I can understand a companies policies for protecting themselves. Well, after calling, and calling, and calling (6 calls in two weeks) I finally remembered that I had one of the guys cell phone numbers. I called, put him on the spot, and he again assured me that I would be taken care of. He said that they would send someone out to fix my two items, and then compensate me for the rest. They continue to give me the runaround for about another month. Eventually (2 months down the road) they say they will give me a settlement of $175 dollars (their insurance policy covers you at 60 cents a pound). I almost started crying with laughter as the glass piece alone was worth around that. I talked to a lawyer friend and she stated that I had a case of "gross negligence" against them, but warned me that my attorney fees would end up being about the same amount I would win from the settlement. And thats my experience. Moving is already stressful enough, so please please don't go with this company.
