This company is a total scam. They lie to your face and are coercive. The quote and updated quote were ridiculously off base compared to the actual cost.
They quoted me 1700-1900 based on an extensive inventory survey and then once all your stuff is on the truck, cha-ching, your new total is 4375!!!
It is a weight based charge and after they load the truck the foreman comes in and proceeds to give you an ultimatem. You can go with my laughable estimate of weight based on an EYE ESTIMATE ONLY or you can follow me to the scales and "I WILL GUARANTEE YOU IT WILL BE MORE". Thats a quote, he actually said that, he basically said you accept this weight or we will find a way to charge you even more. I had very limited items and this guys eye estimate was 12000 pounds...6 tonnes. Are you kidding me, was King Kong hiding in my mattress. I didnt have ANY appliances, 2 beds some boxes, etc, very normal to limited stuff and it weighs more than the truck itself!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are crooks and will hold your stuff hostage and not work with you. Be wary of Van Lines too, they recommended these crooks. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.
