I visited websites like this to review honest and reputable movers. I chose Progressive Relocation Systems because of these reviews. I did not mind that they were agents for Platinum Van Lines. Needless to say, my experience with both companies was NOT good.
The movers were late on the designated day. They were to arrive at 10 AM in the morning but did not come until 1 PM that afternoon. They packed our belonging until 10PM that night. Needless to say, all our plans for that evening were ruined.
While they were packing, I noticed that a foot from our sectional couch was laying about in our former dining room. I asked one of the movers to pack it and to not forget it. Unfortunately, this item is MISSING and we have not seen it when they delivered all our belongings to our new home.
We were careful to use specific boxes designated for fragile items. We purchased boxes for glasses and dishes from U-Haul for that reason. For other boxes with fragile items, we wrote FRAGILE on the boxes in RED with an UP arrow. Apparently, this did not matter! We received many of these boxes either DAMAGED or DENTED. Of course, there were enough items that were broken including glasses, dishes and lamps.
Even though furniture was covered in blankets, Some were DAMAGED upon arrival at our new home. A cherry desk had substantial dents in the desktop; legs to our dining room set were scratched.
As for customer service, I would rate them VERY POOR. I had to call Progressive several times to obtain an estimated date of delivery. After two or three calls, Anthony at Progressive did not answer my calls anymore. In asking the dispatchers at Platinum when my items would be delivered, they were no better in helping me with an estimated date. So after 27 days, from pickup to delivery, I received my household items.
This is all to say, DO NOT USE EITHER OF THEM!
