Late, messy & unprofessional

This company was days late, unprofessional and impossible to get information from.
Platinum were supposed to show up Saturday between 10am-4pm. They never came or called to say they weren't coming. No one was available in the office Saturday or Sunday for me to get information from. Sunday morning I got a call that the truck was on its way and would be there at noon. This was delayed several times until the mover finally showed up at 5pm.
The mover was one guy in a rental truck. It took five hours for him to load my one bedroom apartment into the truck. He also tried to increase the price by $600. At this point, I had to be out of my apartment and every other company and U-Hall were booked for the weekend. If I would have had any other option, I would not have trusted them with my move.
The mover left the apartment a mess. There was garbage from the packing tape and grease stains all over the carpet.
When I finally got in contact with the Platinum Van Lines office they were not apologetic. They I should expect that this kind of thing would happen because some moves end up being bigger than they anticipated and put everyone behind schedule.
My original contact with the Platinum moving contact was great. They were very friendly and quoted me a great price. Don't be fooled by this. Once you've booked them and don't have any option but to have them move your things, they will make your life extremely stressful and miserable.
