PODS canceled 3 days before delivery

I scheduled a PODS delivery for PA zip code 17201 on May 25, 2014. We tried numerous times to contact the storage unit owner to get authorization for the PODS container to be dropped off to no avail. I called PODS several days before delivery date to change the delivery address, which was a few blocks away. The agent I spoke with put me on hold a couple times, and when he came back, told me they do not service 17201. This was very upsetting, as I had Amtrak tickets purchased for my daughter and 2 grandchildren to travel to my destination in Texas. PODS also, just debited $696.00 from my account the day before I called them. I made all these arrangements a month before the move date, to ensure I had enough time to get all the details finalized, and they tell me 3 days before the travel date that they were not going to come. No one ever called me to tell me. I suppose I was going to learn this on the day the container was supposed to be delivered?? The day before the Amtrak trip?? I have been scrambling to make other arrangements. I scheduled the pickup with Budget Van Lines. Gave a 195.00 deposit, was told half due at pickup, balance at delivery. I learned an 18 wheeler had to fit on her street. Daughter called me later that day, and 18 wheeler will not fit on her street. I emailed Budget that evening to cancel the non-binding agreement we had. They debited $495.00 from my account the next day-no answer on my email, then got a confirmation from Atlantic Van Lines their truck would arrive the 20th. Such a mess. I cancelled directly with Atlantic Van Lines, who gave me a confirmation immediately. I am still waiting for Budget, the broker, to call me back (2 days waiting) and give me a refund.
I also, am unable to get my $51.00 back on the insurance I purchased for the Amtrak Trip. Allianz told me it was past the 10 day cancellation period. So, I am out 51.00, still waiting on my refunds, spent another $1500.00 for the Uhaul and trip plans for the road.
PODS is the cause of this entire nightmare. BE SURE they service your area, especially if you are not in a major city so this doesn't happen to you!!
