From the second I gave Alicia my sales rep my deposit, everything went down hill with this company. The movers were 2 days late, I had to pay extra to stay in my rental house bc they were late and Alicia promised me theyd be there on Friday and didnt show up and then she just left the office on Friday and never called me back while I waited in my house for 10 hours for the movers who were always on their way When the movers got there they started telling me my weight was way more than the estimate, I said, no I dont want to hear what they say, I want them to weigh the truck after all my stuff is on the truck and I want to see a copy of the weight ticket.
They then started telling me they were going to charge me all this extra for packing stuff which Alicia told me was included. The movers used boxes and packing material that was mine in my garage but later Northern charged me almost $400 for packing material The movers also took about 30 moving blankets from my garage and took them for themselves to use...they did not use these for my stuff. I was billed almost double what Alicia said and I looked at the weight ticket after the movers went to the weigh station and it was only about 200lbs more than the estimate, Northern is trying to charge me for 1900 extra pounds and almost $500 in packing and bulky item charges.
I have repeatedly asked Amy the owner for copies of the weight tickets and an itemized bill. She has harrassed me through emails, yelled at me on the phone, the dispatcher screamed at me and has called me names and threatened me and my mother. Amy the owner says she is an attorney and will sue me and I will never get my stuff back. I am so upset and all I want is proof of these charges. I have tried hard to resolve this and just want my stuff in good condition and a fair bill with a copy of the weight ticket and itemized invoice for all the packing material they say they used.
They keep telling me if I pay my balance then they will do another weigh in but when my mom had her stuff delivered last week she told the truck driver she wanted a new weight in bc they were charging her a lot more for her move, too and the driver said he had no time to do a weigh in and if she didnt pay him the balance he would drive away and shed never see her stuff again. This company bullies customers into paying an absurd amount extra and will not show proof of any of their charges. They also call and scream and yell and call you names and threaten to take your stuff and you will never see it again.
They threaten you with lawsuits and the owner Amy even wrote me an email saying she was an attorney and she knows how to handle customers like me and shed sue me and Id never see my stuff again. She later said she wasnt an attorney and other people respond to her emails, but she signed her name on that email. She is also breaking the law by lying about being an officer of the court to intimidate her customers in paying her. It is very wrong how they use a customers valuables to rip people off. They are holding my valuables until I pay this absurd amount over what they told me the move would cost.
