Pick-up team was 5 hours late past the pickup window.
My order was never shipped out of Oregon until the final possible delivery day, which made the actual delivery date well out of the range they had provided. Leading up to that date, dispatch had assured me it had been shipped but was delayed due to poor weather. Two subsequent delivery days were scheduled (yes, I requested work off at the NEW JOB to receive the items), and the shipment never showed, nor could I get a return phone call back on those days.
When someone had the integrity to call me and let me know that my items were never shipped, she had insisted that we would receive a concession in price for our inconvenience.. Bear in mind we had missed work and also had to make purchases of items we needed from the shipment. Sidenote: 120 days later, the concession was denied, by the company due to incomplete documentation? Of what, a calendar?
Movers delivering the items said that they did not assemble items as part of their service- I see why now- the screws and screw holes had been stripped, making it impossible to assemble ever again.
When filing my claim form, I addressed it to the company that was provided by Northern Van Lines. This insurance company let me know they NO LONGER REPRESENT NORTHERN VAN LINES. I contacted Northern again to get the correct company.
Ruined furniture, lack of integrity of office staff, communication failure, failure to deliver within time window.
If you actually care about receiving your goods or furniture in usable condition, I would recommend going with a different company. I'm out hundreds of dollars, outside the claim reporting time-window, and too exhausted to fight them anymore. Good luck with your move, just not with these folks.
