The move itself went OK. They arrived a little late, but I was promised my things would be moved directly to NY with no transfers or waiting. The company refused to leave without having 50% of the estimate paid and the rest paid upon delivery. In my desperation I told them to take all 75% of the estimate remaining and charge it to my card, because I didn't want to wait any longer for my stuff. When they arrived, I learned they moved my belongings from a box truck to a semi-truck and from a semi-truck back to a box truck and had made several stops along the way, thus elongating my wait time for my stuff.
When all was said and done I asked for a correct invoice to reflect my actual weight instead of the estimated wait. Two months later, I still cannot get a correct invoice and they have fought me tooth and nail to refund the balance of my estimate, which I paid them and what I should have paid them. I can't get reimbursed for the move from my employer until I turn in the weight tickets and they won't return my calls or e-mails for the tickets or a corrected invoice. When I filed a complaint with the BBB they called me and told me they would give me a refund in exchange for me removing my BBB complaint by saying it was sent under the wrong company by mistake. When I said I wasn't comfortable doing that, they went back to saying I wouldn't get a refund then. I said it sounds like extortion and the rep screamed at me that she was tired of working with me.
I have asked at least five times since then for my weight tickets and I still don't have them. Meanwhile my credit card balance two months later has interest accruing until I get these tickets and turn in a correct invoice to my employer.
Never again.
