Our possessions were mishandled by Northern American Van Lines, a subsidiary of Atlas Van Lines, and when we spoke with Leo and Isaac, both of whom apparently hold the title of "supervisor" at Northern American Van Lines, they indicated that our ruined possessions and the overcharge of our move would be cared for through their insurance carrier.
Jonathan Martinez assured us at the time of our pack up, that our things were going to be transported in a full size truck. The driver, Rudy, showed up with only one helper, and our mattresses were strapped to the outside of a very small moving truck, not a full size truck as was promised, and there were holes in the truck. Since Rudy and his helper traveled in the aftermath of a tropical storm, a good portion of our possessions arrived not only broken, but wet and mildewed.We had the items delivered to a storage facility, where Rudy and the helper would not allow us the time to open each box to verify that everything was in one piece, therefore we were unable to verify some items. Other items simply did not make it to us at all, which tells us that somewhere along the way, Jonathan Martinez and his hill billy girlfriend decided that there were things they wanted to keep
