My family and i decided to use NORTH AMERICAN because they were the biggest and believe it or not the most expensive. We took out the most insurance possible and were told by the sales rep that everything would go smooth. The move took 17 days not three. Items were damaged and not compensated for. The consumer affairs department was rude and not helpful. It was a simple case of sampson vs goliath, but I will keep on passing the word to protect other consumers. DO NOT USE NORTH AMERICAN VAN LINES OR THEIR SISTER COMPANY ALLIED MOVERS. They are liars, cheaters and extremely dishonest. I have never been treated so poorly by a company in my whole entire life and i spent 12000 to do so!! Seek a smaller more reputable moving company. Unfortunately they are such a big company that I will have to waste my time and money, but in my heart i have to do so. We cant let these conglomerate companies walk all over us like were ants. They must pay the price for their deceit and lack of customer service. Please take my word for it I'm a successful 41 year old man with a family and have never run into something like this before. Once they have your money you are done. I hope this helps some to make their decision properly when considering a moving company.
