Where do I begin? Heed my warning and DO NOT use Nationwide Relocation Services or their "contracted" movers. My experience has been a total nightmare from the very beginning. I had to make a move in a hurry in order to avoid an abusive confrontation and I feel that I was severely taken advantage of by this company because of my disperate situation. Part of my move included my BRAND NEW Harley-Davidson motorcycle. I had packed tools, parts, and several other valuable items in the T-bags that were mounted to my bike. The bags were removed from my motorcycle and to date have not been returned. My windshield was removed from my bike and again to date has not been returned. I am out several thousand dollars in just the loss of items that were on my bike. My motorcycle was not loaded securely and protected well as I was told that it would be and now the frame appears to be bent. This is a $23,000.00 motorcycle!
I was charged excessive packing for furniture that did not require their methods. Boxes were taped to the front of my dresser and other furniture and when the tape was removed the finish was taken off down to the bare wood. Glass curio and hutches that should have been handled with extra care were not resulting in broken glass doors. Powder coated furniture that should have been protected was not and resulted in the coating being worn down to the metel. I was charged extra due to the fact that my belongings had to be placed in storage at the destination. I was told the extra handling charge was so that everything would be off loaded and properly packed in my unit. Heavy furniture in the back and boxes in the front. My storage was left a shambles and I can not get to anything because all the heavy items are in front of the boxes and block my access to my clothing and things I need to reach.
I have contacted Nationwide almost daily for three weeks with my concerns and complaints and have not received anything close to satisfaction. I consistently get a run around and get passed from person to person. I was offered $100.00 for my inconvience and that in its self is a rude insult. I have been disrespected by several of their employees and feel that this company should be put out of business all together. I will do everything I can to keep another unsuspecting person from being ripped off and traumitized as I have been. I will not "shut up" until I am satisfied and my losses recouped. I will file a complaint with DOT, BBB, and every other entity out there. I urge anyone who has had a bad experience with Nationwide Relocation to do the same. Collectively, maybe we can stop this kind of HIGHWAY ROBERY!
If anyone out there has any suggestions for me I would love to receive them.
