Terrible, listen to all the bad reviews, don't make our mistake!!

We should have listened to all the bad reviews about this business, but my husband and I were naive and went with this company anyway thinking "how bad could it really be?" Sure we saved a little bit more money but the incredibly massive headache caused by this move was NOT worth it. First of all the day before we were supposed to move we were called and told that there was a mover ready and then they backed out so no one was actually coming on the day we were supposed to move. Nationwide's response to our questions of what do we do was "give us time and we'll eventually find someone." Every day for 3 or 4 days past when we were supposed to move we were told the same thing. When we asked what they were going to do because my husband had to start a job in another state the following week it was the same answer "give us time and we'll find someone"---that is a horrible answer when you've signed a contract to have a service provided on certain dates for a reason. Several days later they finally found us a moving company, and honestly the actual movers were not bad at all, very kind and efficient. We were told we would have everything on time--wrong again. My husband and I spent almost a week sleeping on an air mattress waiting for all of our stuff to arrive. The customer service department is full of morons, the same answer to every question and then they never want to admit that the company has made a mistake. It took us demanding paperwork for our compensation on three separate phone calls before they finally were able to make the huge effort of pressing "send" to get it to my e-mail--by the way the compensation for this much trouble is pathetic. Nationwide is absolutely terrible, avoid them and don't give yourself a massive headache and have to work around their schedule--choose another company, listen to all the bad reviews, and don't make the same mistake we did by just thinking that only angry customers leave reviews. There are only a handful of good reviews about this company for a reason, again listen to all the bad ones and avoid Nationwide Relocation Services!!!
