The movers were courteous, honest, and hard workers. However, I would not use Nationwide Moving Services ever again because of their fraudulent practice of bait and switch. I was provided a "not-to-exceed" estimate, which I signed electronically. On the day of delivery, I called Nationwide Moving Services to confirm the shipment of our goods. The person I contacted told me they would contact me right away with the final bill. Of course, there should have been no change in the final bill because of the "not to exceed" contract I signed. The person came back later with a total of nearly $1000 dollars higher than the contracted amount. I asked to speak with the sales person and they said I could not do that, but that they would "write her up," as if a letter of reprimand to the sales person would pay the extorsion fee!! The moving crew called, wondering why I was declining to pay the extra fee. I explained the situation and we agreed on a lesser amount of "only" $375.00. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and would never recommend Nationwide Moving Services to anyone. According to the moving crew this type of unethical sales tactic is quite common within the company because the sales people push for a lower price in order to get the sale. They are not held accountable - only the custome is!!
