End of March 2011 my wife started looking for movers to pick up our stuff and move us to Texas where I had a new job waiting. She called Nationwide and was given a quote that was a few hundred dollars less than every other company she called. We scheduled the move for May 30th, 2011 and gave them a deposit of almost b$900.
On May 27th, my wife received a call from Nationwide saying they would not be able to move us. 3 days before a cross country move and Nationwide cancels. I was in shock. My wife told them we wanted our deposit back right away so we could get another mover. They assured us we would get our money within 7 business days. As of today, we still do not have our refund. They keep promising, but nothing ever really happens.
I filed a complaint with the BBB and found out that they have no BBB accreditation and an "F" rating. Most complaints are similar to mine.
I plan on contacting the media as well as filing a claim in small claims court if we do not get our refund by the end of this week.
